Meet The Team
Let’s introduce you to our people.
Geoff McCann Managing Director
Our glorious master and commander, Geoff founded Typhoon House in the early 1990s. His unique vision and leadership style has made Typhoon House the tour de force that it is. Born in Lambeth, London and spending his formative years in Singapore, he arrived in the Isle of Man via the Fleet Air Arm, Laker Airways, Hong Kong and various other countries. Engineering has always been his passion, and he spent many years keeping huge fleets of aeroplanes flying as Head of Quality Assurance for Cathay Pacific. This incredible background made establishing Typhoon House as the Island’s leading printer and audio-visual specialists an unexpected but logical choice! Geoff has the good fortune to be married to Debs. When he isn’t working, he can be found riding his Triumph Rocket 3 or taking amazing professional photos, which can often be found in the TT programme and many other photographic publications.
Debs Gwinnell Sales & Marketing Director
Sales & Marketing Director
From Disney to the Jim Henson Company, Debs has enjoyed many whirlwind adventures in a glittering career spanning over three decades. When she joined Typhoon House some 20 years ago, we like to think she brought a little stardust with her. With a keen focus on problem-solving and taking away pain points, Debs is responsible for everything related to sales and marketing, account management, and ensuring the happiness of clients and colleagues. Away from the hurricane, Debs lives with her husband, Geoff, Typhoon House’s glorious leader. Together they have three sons and three wonderful grandchildren. A true animal lover, she yearns for another Old English Sheepdog and, naturally, a pet otter. Her passion for the silver screen endures in the short films she produces and directs — some of which have made it onto the international film circuit.
Tim Shaw Service Manager
With over 35 years of experience in the office/business equipment field, Tim has gained a vast and varied wealth of industry and product knowledge. Starting straight from school on a four-year government apprenticeship scheme, he worked primarily on typewriters before moving on to photocopiers, printers, and fax machines.
At Typhoon House, he oversees the day-to-day running of the Service Team, whilst lending his expertise to all sides of the business as well as ensuring the delivery of all services provided are of the highest standards. Tim lives in Port Erin with his wonderful wife, Georgina. Together they have two sons, Matty and Ryan. You might recognise the latter as our hard-grafting Warehouse Supervisor. When he's not working, Tim enjoys motorsports, football – he’s is a life-long Man United fan, pen making, wood turning, and a unique form of therapy — keeping his family's cars nice and clean.

Daily duties include everything from work flow assessing and building to programming, installing, remote diagnostics and maintaining various types of printers, copiers, scanners, document and print solutions, and even audio-visual solutions. It’s a complex job, but with over a quarter of a century of experience in the industry and with a grounded education in engineering, he’s got the chops. In his personal life, Steven is a curious sort who can usually be found supporting local traditions and festivals, such as Oie Voaldyn and Oie Houney, in various guises. He loves writing, storytelling, and swordplay, to wit runs a fledgling school of European martial arts called “The Manx Academy of Defensive Arts (MADA).

He studied Physics and Maths at Sofia University in Bulgaria and has more than seven years of experience in the field. His all-round excellence in his role has been rightly recognised with an award from Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK. Outside of Typhoon House, he enjoys spending time with his inspirational family: his wife Tsonka, daughter Nia, and son Orlin. They also have a ginger cat named Oggy and a few fish to keep an eye on things. Milen has a deep passion for portraiture, social, and documentary photography. Alison Reeves Accounts Administrator
Meet Alison, the numbers wizard at Typhoon House. With over 15 years of experience in crunching numbers, she’s the go-to for keeping everything in check, from accounts to wages. When Alison isn't tackling spreadsheets, she's enjoying Island living with the love of her life, Paul. Between the two of them, they've got five kids and a whopping 17 grandkids to keep them on their toes. An avid adventurer, she also loves to satisfy her wanderlust by jetting off to exciting new destinations. But don't be fooled; it’s not all playtime for Alison — she's also a puzzle master, taking on crosswords, jigsaws and “whodunnit” TV shows like nobody's business! Just don't try to make her eat broad beans. That's one thing she's not so fond of.
Dannii Matthews Business Support
Whether taking and logging service calls, procuring new equipment, handling general admin tasks or being the perfect point of contact for clients, Dannii’s supreme experience in service, sales, and IT means she’s got it all covered, as the ultimate business support pro. But that's not all. Our Manx-born and bred wonder has also achieved some impressively high-octane personal accomplishments. A keen and lauded local rally navigator, she's a 5-time Manx Junior Co-Driver Champion, 2-time Manx Ladies Champion, and the 2018 Manx Co-Driver Champion. Now that’s an impressive trophy cabinet! Away from the rally stages, she loves spending time with her fur babies, Luna and Skye, and even more expensive animals (like horses).
